Easy and Refreshing

“Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good–not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.”

Isn’t it good to know that our relationship with Jesus is easy and refreshing? Our part is easy not because it didn’t cost something; it cost Jesus everything and now our job is to rest in that truth. If your relationship with Jesus (God) is a burden than you’ve missed out on the Good News. Rest in what He’s done and you’ll find that life with Him becomes easy and refreshing.
